At TANA Safaris Bush Camp we offer our guests a relaxing experience like no other.

Our tent camp is designed and constructed to ensure the true and natural African experience, but with the necessary luxury. The lux tents are all pitched under separate corrugated iron canopies. Each tent is equipped with a lockable trunk for the safe keeping of personal and valuable belongings, 2 single beds and 2 camping chairs. The budget tents are all pitched under a corrugated iron canopy. There are two bedding options for the budget tents: either two single stretcher beds or one double stretcher bed. Camping by oneself, with your own tent, is also available.

Both lux tents and budget tents have breakfast included. Guests may also choose to enjoy a tasty dinner, prepared on the premises by our very capable manageress, at an additional cost. A limited drinkable menu is also available which offers the basics such as beer, sodas, juice and an assortment of wines. Functions can be organized on request.

We only make use of self-generated solar electricity which is available throughout the camp and our guests have unlimited access to the clear unprocessed and unspoilt water pumped directly from a nearby borehole.

Warm water, which is warmed in a “donkey” (a traditional way of heating water by means of fire), is readily available in the partially shared ablution area which is equipped with a flushing loo, a shower and a basin.

The camp is situated against the slope of a mountain in an in fenced game camp which offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. The natural vegetation consists of Damara Corkwood (Commiphora cernato-serrata), Driehaakdoring (Acasia senegal), Rosyntjiebos (Grewia flava). Appelblaar (Philenoptera violacea) and Kudubush (Combretum apiculatum).The chances of viewing a variety of bird species and game in their natural and untouched habitat while enjoying a beverage or drink at our dining area, is therefore an added bonus.

Forget about the existence of the developed and over-crowded world out there when you relax on the veranda at camp … losing yourself in a good book, a drink at dusk or taking photos of the beautiful surroundings, the view and the abundance of wildlife.
